In an age when gods walked among mortals, only the most extraordinary could rise above their fate. As a Champion chosen by the Olympians, you must prove your worth through feats of strength, cunning, and strategy. Earn the favor of mighty gods like Zeus, Athena, and Artemis to gain their blessings—but beware: the Fates weave every destiny, and even the gods cannot control all. Will you seize immortality… or fall to mortal fate?

In Dodeka, each player represents a mortal champion, competing in a sacred contest to ascend to Olympus. Players collect sets of god cards in front of them. The player with the most cards of a particular god unlocks that god's power and can use the power to gain a short-term benefit.

However, by nót using the power, players gain favor, which ultimately determine the winner of the game. The choice of when to use powers, or when to hold back to gain favor, is the core of the game.
